Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

This is the Mittlere Bridge in Basel and was as far as we had time to explore on our brief visit. I was not disappointed though as this was a beautiful sight, the bridge crossing the Rhine is a flurry of light and reflections.

This historic bridge was built around 1249 and is one of the oldest bridges in Europe still in use. Its name means the Middle Bridge. It is situated on the oldest existing bridge site across the Rhine, between Lake Constance and the North Sea.

Besides the history, it has a wonderfully romantic feel!

I will post a second photograph here, showing the flags that decorate the bridge.

Have a good day, Bev :-)
