Let's continue our hike in "Valle Onsernone" ...

Yesterday I showed you a view of the lower part of "Valle Onsernone", a very hidden valley in the southern Alps in the Swiss canton Ticino.
My today's picture shows the small village Russo in the middle part of the valley in an altitude of about 800 meters - high above the gorge of Isorno river. Russo is a very picturesque village with wonderful old houses and its situation at the steep northern slope of the valley is nearly breathtaking - as the street to Russo is.

You can see a close up picture in the workshop.

There you also can see the "Centro Sociale Onsernonese" - something like a community center for the whole valley. It was built in 1989 by the local architects Franco and Paolo Mauro and it's a real meeting point for the inhabitants of Onsernone valley.

It is a great landscape, light and colours. I would only have cloned the power cables on top right. Well done.

Hello Frank,
That village sure is located on an amazingly beautiful spot. A great photo too, which clearly shows the how the village is lying on the slope. Great colours with various shades of green and the blue sky. I actually like the WS with closer view even more, because you can see the village houses better, also the more distant houses. Also the WS composition is superb. Thanks for sharing.

The following picture about the similar mood to previous. At this time a little more plastic and devoid of dramatizing shadows. The sunshine bore fruit with superb colours. After the look round of such series I think that I am ready to the normal holiday.

Hallo Frank,

sehr schoen, wie das nette Dorf in das gruene Tal eingebettet ist. Von den Baeumen im Vordergrund bis zu den Gipfeln in weiter Ferne hast du dem Bild eine grossartige Tiefe gegeben.
