Photographer's Note

Gunnebo slott is a mansion in Mölndal just outside of Gothenburg. It was build, in neoclassicist style, at the end of the 18th century for the wealthy businessman John Hall.

The architect C.W. Carlberg was inspired by the villas of Andrea Palladio, which are marked by usually very symmetric facades with intricate decorations. And Gunnebo is very symmetric as this photo shows.

The picture was taken head on from the driveway, and the right and the left sides are mirrored into the images on either side of the original.

To the area belongs a lovely park as well as servants' buildings and an orangery, all drawn by the same architect in a very consistent style giving Gunnebo a very harmonic atmosphere.
Over the last few years an extensive renovation is taking place to reconstruct the servants quarters and the wings that where destroyed in a fire 1833.
