‘Stockholm - Islands and bridges’

The Swedish capital is situated on 14 islands at the mouth of Lake Mälaren along the Baltic Sea.
There are 54 bridges (54 to 57 depending on the source) interconnecting these islands.
Wherever you go in the city center, water is never far away.

The photo was taken from the tower of the City Hall (Stadshuset) and shows among other things:
far left, from front to back: the parliament, the national museum and the Nordic museum (Nordiska Museet);
in the middle: the royal palace and at the right the tower of the Sankt Nikolai kyrka (Storkyrka).
