Photographer's Note

This is a bit different from my usual photos and may not please many. But I liked how the light was seeping down the narrow space between the buildings, shining through the rather dusty glass of the open window and the lamp. I also liked the dark details of drainpipes and closed windows.

I took a photo but didn't think much of it. It was only when seeing the photo on my computer that I noticed a sticker on the lamp showing the face of Karl Marx. It made me remember this photo I posted two years ago:

The Marxist sticker guerilla had struck again.

This is just above the narrowest alley in Stockholm's Old Town, Mårten Trotzigs gränd. It's only 90 cm at the narrowest part and not much wider anywhere.

Last year I posted this photo from where I was standing just one or two meters to the side:

The map coordinates 59.32313 18.07282 will show you approximately where this was taken, but it may be difficult to find exactly the same angle.

In the WS is a B&W version, in case some of you prefer this kind of urban environment to be monochrome.
