Photographer's Note
Lotsutkiken på Smögen:
The pilot station at Smögen
The pilot lookout was originally built in 1878 but needed to be rebuilt in 1935 because residential buildings obscured the view from the station to the archipelago.
The original pilot station was,I guess, just a hut on the top of the hill. A tower would not have been required.
It has not been staffed since 1969.

Very interesting image, Trevor, the lookout has a kind of ugly charm about it.
And the dark background make this a B&W delight.
Thanks

Hello Trevor,
I like this very much!
The strong shapes stand out well in this fine composition.
There is a great linkage between the shapes which creates a natural flow across the frame.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Trevor,
An unusual construction that makes for a most interesting graphical image. Good choice of black and white to accentuate all those geometrical lines. I like the light and the excellent clarity.

Hello Trevor,
the graphic subjects are just perfect for your mono treatment, the tonal range is also very pleasing.
Love it.

Hello Trevor
love this! It is a truly arty and creative B&W conversion that has both style and real impact. Love the minimalist feel to it and the black bg works supremely.
Superb!
Enjoy the weekend - B.

Hej Trevor,
En otroligt fin bild med dessa starka kontraster och räta linjer. En enastånde grafisk presentation men mycket fin balans. Här saknar man knappast de vanligtvis vackra bohuslänska färgerna.

Hi Trevor - Converting to B&W has accentuated the graphic lines of this shot and the strong contrasting light and your pp work has worked extremely well here. A memorable image that I like a lot.
Warm regards

hello Trevor
a harsh B&W picture, the black sky enhances the shapes of this queer house.
My best regards

Hi Trevor
now that's how you use black as a bg subject.
makes such a great contrasting element.
the lines of the pilot station stand out so strongly.
and i really like the height too, it extends the viewing eye upwards.
nice shot
cheers

Hello Trevor
Super shot! Simple and graphic, and works a treat in monochrome. I'm reminded strongly of using a deep red filter with b/w film to get the sky this black. Very good work.

Will
