Image is taken from the harbour side of the breakwater at the entrance to Grundsund hamnkanal .
Grundsund is a locality in the municipality of Lysekil.It is located in central Bohuslän outer coastal strip, 25 km south of the municipal center Lysekil via ferry or 7 km as the crow flies. Grundsund dates back to at least the 1600s as a fishing village, but settlements increased in connection with commercial fishing of herring. Grundsund became a large fishing during the 1800s. Many fishing trawlers were bought from England for fishing for mackerel in the early 1900s. Today Grundsund is popular with tourists in the summer. There are many old fishing huts lining the Grundsund harbour channel (Grundsund hamnkanal).

A good day trip from Lysekil is: Early ferry to Fiskebäckskil, walk on trail from Fiskebäckskil to Grundsund about 1 and 1/2 hours, spend a few hours including lunch at Grundsund, then catch a late ferry back to Lysekil.

Hej Trevor,
Den senaste tiden har dina bilder haft en mycket lättigenkännlig stil. De är fina studier av mänsklig verksamhet i en trivsam atmsofär, med vackra pastellfärger och i ett vertikalt format. Liksom i de tidigare bilderna finns här mängder av detaljer att fördjupa sig i. De här bilderna förtjänar verkligen mycket mer uppmärksamhet.
