Photographer's Note

Though I live by the sea, I work in this foggy valley. I can't remember the last time I drove to work without fog (since winter started, I mean); that's why I think of Brandstaetter so often ;-)
The river Louro (from Latin "aurus") crosses the wide Louriña valley making it a quite humid place. Here are located the Gándaras de Budiño, a swampy 700 hectares area of great natural interest (especially for bird watchers). But this valley is also the home of several large industrial areas which pollute the river.
Apart from that, the place is famous for the Rosa Porriño stone, used in buildings all around the world, and for being the home of the Tour-winner cyclist Óscar Pereiro.
I edited the RAW image in PS, and then corrected levels to add some contrast, cropped and sharpened.
After Jorgi's comment, I edit to clarity that what you see is layers of trees in the valley and, at the very bottom, the last darkish line is a line of mountains.

Thanks for watching and for your comments!
