Photographer's Note

Esta es una vista de la plaza mayor de Avila, denominada plaza de Santa Teresa y popularmente conocida como “mercado grande”.
La fotografía esta realizada desde dentro de la muralla abulense, a través del arco del Alcázar, que es una de las nueve puertas, con las que cuenta la muralla.
La vista posterior corresponde a la plaza anteriormente citada y en último plano, se observa la iglesia de San Pedro, cuya construcción se comenzó en el año 1100, siendo contemporánea de la basílica de San Vicente. Está realizada en estilo románico. En la fachada principal destaca su rosetón cisterciense. La iglesia tiene tres naves y triple ábside. En el exterior sobresale la torre cuadrada, construida en esta misma época.
Para los amantes del arte, he presentado un WS, con un primer plano de la fachada principal de esta iglesia.

This is a sight of the biggest square of Avila, saint's so called square teresa and popularly known as “ big market ”.
The photography native of Avila is realized from within of the wall, across the arch of the citadel, which is one of nine doors, with which the wall is provided.
The later sight corresponds to the square previously said and in last plane, there is observed the church of San Pedro, whose construction was begun in the year 1100, being a contemporary of the basilica of San Vicente. It is realized in Romanesque style. In the principal frontage he emphasizes his Cistercian rose window. The church has three ships and triple apse. In the exterior there stands out the square tower constructed in the same epoch.
For the lovers of the art, I have presented/displayed a WS, with a first plane of the main facade of this church.
