Passeig de Gràcia is an upmarket area with some very stylish buildings as depicted here. At one time it was a separate town on the edge of Barcelona but was gradually absorbed into the bigger city long ago. It is the Champs Elysees of Barcelona. Here's a screenshot aerial view from Google maps.

Hello Chris,
Nicely combined street action in the big city with its typical facade in Gaudi style. Blue painted verandas and windows frames contrast well with the grey walls and golden light inside the luxurious store. Picture was enliven by tourists passing along.

Hello Chris,
It's a very elegant façade with lots of fine decorations. I get an image of gold and silver from the light and colours. The African salesman is probably a very typical view of these streets and others in especially southern Europe, where tens of thousands have come desperately looking for a way to support their families. The tourists are just as typical, but not for the last year.

Hello Chris,
from the thumbnail I initially thought that this was going to be a Gaudi designed building. The viewpoint shows a lovely building with some beautiful details.
A nicely balanced composition with the salesman on the left side and the people on the right.

When I saw the thumbnail, I wondered for a moment if this was a photo of Casa Batlló. But in normal size it turns out to be a different building.
Passeig de Gràcia is one of the most expensive streets in the whole country and there's a lot of beautiful architecture to see.

Hello Chris, Passeig de Gracia is a very elegant avenue and many famous buildings, like Gaudi's, are there. A pure delight to see them. This one is very beautiful and interesting, with many blue balconies and wavy lines.

A great example of the exuberant architecture of Barcelona. We see all sorts of details on the building facade. A slice of daily life at the bottom of the photo, with the tourists and the man selling expensive-looking handbags. I wonder how they fell into his hands?
