Sobre un altozano al respaldo de un antiguo castro -el monte hoy, de la Pastora- se alzan los restos de Santa Mariña Doro (dorsum 'loma, colina").

El templo. conjunto de transic¡ón al primer Renacimiento, con cinco capillas laterales y una sola nave de esbeltísimos arcos, vino a coronar, a fines del siglo XV. por impulso de doña María de Ulloa Señora de Cambados, madre del III Fonseca, una primera construcción del padre de aquella, don Lope Sánchez de Ulloa, en lo que fuera ya el solar de una ermita románica.
Destechada y abandonada a mediados del siglo XIX, la osamenta descarnada de sus ruinas, declaradas Monumento Histórico-Artístico en 1943, albergan hoy la paz del silencioso camposanto.
