Photographer's Note

The Cave of Skulls is a cavity length of 440 meters located on the northern slope of Mount Segili, in the district of Dénia (Alicante Province, Spain) It is located at the same side of the road Pedreguer to Dénia.

This cave is named to a caver expedition in the seventeenth century were found remains of twelve people.

It has two areas. A flooded, occupying from a distance of 240 meters to the end, and a dry, which is enabled for tourism. The water in the flooded area is exploited for irrigation through an artificial tunnel.

Different expeditions, such as the Henri Breuil, have produced findings of archaeological remains and flint tools, etc., from the Middle Paleolithic and Upper Paleolithic periods.
