Altea is a Mediterranean city situated on the Costa Blanca, Alicante Province in Spain - fishing and agriculture were the main economic source of the village but in the last decades, it came to depend eminently on tourism - During the period of Muslim rule, Altea belonged to taifa of Denia, and in the thirteenth century was an alqueria known by the name of Altaya - It was to be reconquered in the year 1244 and repopulation with Christians from Catalonia - Video of Altea in: https://youtu.be/YtNpje-17
