Photographer's Note

The building is a famous Metropolis Madrid property located at the corner of Calle de Alcalá with Gran Vía. In French inspiration, good proportions and elegantísima architecture, was designed by Jules and Raymond February for a well-known insurance company.
Note especially the tower, whose second floor stood a beautiful circle of couples Corinthian columns that hold a third floor decorated with statues and art groups allegoric Trade, Agriculture, Mining and Industry. The dome is made of slate with inlaid gold. The original statue representing the Phoenix (bronze age), the current is Victoria Alada, piece by Federico Coullaut Valera.
