Photographer's Note

During the reign of Muhammad I of Cordoba, a small palace was built where today the Royal Palace of Madrid is located. Around this building a Moorish settlement of few inhabitants called al-Mudaina was developed, that was conquered in 1085 by the king Afonso VI of Leon, the name evolved to Majerit and later to Madrid - It is currently the capital and largest city of Spain, the 3rd largest city in the European Union and the 10th most livable city in the world - Video of my route for Madrid in: https://youtu.be/7l14cikvMQw
