Photographer's Note

Pancha Island - In the tiny island stand only two buildings: the tower of the main lighthouse and the house of the lighthouse keeper. All the rest is undergrowth, wind and sea crashing against the rocky shore. A small bridge with about 50 meters connects the island to Ribadeo, the most Northeast municipality of Galicia, in the province of Lugo.

Built in 1860, the island's lighthouse structure was no longer used in 1983.
The old house of the lighthouse keeper has been restored and converted to tourism. The lighthouse tower has also been completely restored, including the spiral staircase made of wrought iron, so that guests can climb to the top and enjoy panoramic views of the Cantabrian coast and the Eo estuary (which separates Galicia from Asturias).
