Photographer's Note

Rainy day in Besalú

After a long pause, here’s a photo chosen for the time of the year it was taken (mid-April) and as a sort of continuation from the last critique I wrote. This is the town of Besalú on a rainy spring day and its outstanding landmark, the 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river. The bridge (many photos on TE) features a gateway at its midpoint. When travelling, most of the time you just don’t pick the weather and light conditions that suit best your subject, unless you’re around for a sufficient long time. We were in town for a couple of hours and that happened to be wet and grey. So that has to be the mood of my Besalú photos!
