CABLE CAR OF THE PORT OF BARCELONA
CABIN ARRIVING AT THE TOWER OF SAN SEBASTIAN
It is a line connecting the area of Miramar on the mountain of Montjuïc, Torre de Jaume I, next to the World Trade Centre in the middle of Port Vell and the Torre de San Sebastian, located in the port limit, next the beach.
The cable car was designed in 1926 by Carlos Buigas, Ramón Calzada and José Rodríguez Rodà, and opened in 1931, after the Barcelona International Exhibition of 1929. The cable car, as well as being raised as a tourist transport with exceptional views of the harbor and the city, was raised to supply a major city beaches - Playa de San Sebastian - and The Baths of San Sebastian, with the Casino Miramar in Montjuïc and the entire campus of what was the International Exhibition.
In the tower of San Sebastian is located the restaurant La Torre d'Altamar, which is 75 meters high, dominates the city's port.

Bonsoir Carlos,
Il arrive de nul part ce téléphérique! et en plus il débarque dans une tour.
Belle couleurs et le WS est bien, il nous situe le lieu et nous donne un apercu de ceux que les gens voient du haut de cette cabine.

Hola Carlos,
la cabina vermella del telefèric es destaca amb força sobre el cel blau, amb la torre al costat que completa una composició maca i interessant.
Vas aprofitar el día esplèndid que feia ahir, per aconseguir una bona lluminositat en una foto molt neta.

Hola Carlos, wonderful sight of the little red car in the imense blue sky. Nice graphic geometry of the imposing tower. The contrast between the the two is absorving but it's that red color that makes the image so nice to look at.
