Photographer's Note
I had to post this shot even though it was posted recently by Volodymyr Peleshak. Volodymyr's shot was taken recently. Mine was taken 22 years ago. As you can see they are nearly identical. Even the metal stand in the background is in the same place.
Cardona is an outstanding place. It has a beutifully restored castle that is also a Parador. The town sits below the castle and is an incredible place as well. Worth the visit if you ever get the chance.

In my humble opinion, your shot has a better composition than the one made by Volodymyr Peleshak, but the colors in his shot are more natural.
Did you do some paintshopping, or is this the result of aging?

Rob this is another oldie that loss quality due to the scanning process. However the perspective of this picture is excellent. I like the way you captured the interior of the castle using the gate arch as a frame. Very nice and a good architecture shot. Cheers and keep posting your old pictures. They have some history to tell I am sure ;-)

Hi Rob.
Ireally like his composition that points out the beautiful textures of these old-stone walls. The light is well managed and the perspective offered by the right part of the cloister makes the composition quite dynamic. I think it may be better if a little bit more space was allowed to the left part of the door framing the view, but it's just a detail. There's also a little noise, but it's probably due to the scan and it's not a big issue, anyway!
Thanks for sharing.

Hola Rob:
Bonita foto con la superposición de arcos y una buena perspectiva. Tal vez un poco pasada de contraste.
Un saludo: javi

A very good composition combining the two arches and the columns of the right sides, plus the steps. This one really does not show its age. Very nice colors, with perhaps some sort of metallic aspects in the texture and excellent sharpness.
All the best,

Hi Rob;
What shots you could have is you visit Spain again. Great POV and the light and shadows in the stone walls are very nice.
Good job keeping those old shots alive.

Hi Rob.
There is something strange in your photo and probably the reason is the postprocessing.
The colours and the light look wrong.
Anyway, thanks for share.

Hola Rob:
