Photographer's Note
Front of the Temple sacrificial the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
La Sagrada Família, Expiatori Temple of the Sagrada Família full name in Catalan or Expiatorio Templo de la Sagrada Familia in Spanish, expiatory temple of the Holy Family, is an unfinished work of architect Antoni Gaudi, located in the neighborhood the Eixample district of Barcelona.
In 1882, construction began in a Gothic Revival (Crypt) and then in 1883, under the new direction of Gaudí, the project took a new direction. According to his usual work, Gaudí realized a few sketches and improvised building construction as and as work progressed. Gaudí was solely responsible for the construction, only 31 years. He devoted the last fifteen years of his life only to realize that building. One of his most innovative ideas was the design of tall towers and circular conical shape that stand above the portals.
The temple, once completed, will comprise 18 towers, four for each of the three inputs and six towers in the center of the structure around the dome, whose central tower dedicated to Jesus will measure 170 meters high. The interior is formed by innovative sloping tree columns and vaulted shaped hyperboloid and paraboloid.
In 1926, Gaudi died while only one of the towers had been built. From initial project, there are only a few shots and a plaster model, the rest having been destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. Since then, work continues and is currently focused on the portals of the Nativity, Passion and more recently that of Glory. Inside, the ceilings are in progress. The work done by Gaudi or the Nativity façade and crypt have join in 2005, the World Heritage by Unesco as a "work of Antoni Gaudí"
All must be completed between 2025 and 2030. The pace of construction is explained by the fact that according to the wishes of Gaudi, the funding is entirely private. These selfless donations (individuals, associations or companies) and financial input crop of tourists (2.5 million visitors). No money comes from the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya).

Hello Valerie!
Very impressive architectonic "detail", very representative photo of this gigantic work of art, the "trademark" of the most beautiful city of the world, at least for me! Great tight framing, great composition and light management!

Excellente note explicative !
Bonne journée !
Amicalement

Hi Valerie.
I don't know if you are able to do, but you should take care of the white balance.
The composition and exposure are good and I like the whole view.
Well done.

Bonjour Valerie,
Eye catching architecture, appearing to be a mixture of neo-gothic with surreal modernism, and your image captures the unusual detail.
good job,
Ray
