Photographer's Note

The Castle of Ponferrada, also known locally as Castle of the Templars or simply Castle Temple, located in the city and county of Ponferrada in the region of El Bierzo, Leon province, autonomous community of Castile and Leon, Spain.
In the castle currently runs the Museo del Bierzo, with the exhibition "recuperación del Castillo de los Templars." The set opens to the public Tuesday through Sunday, offering cultural, educational and leisure facilities to its visitors. Therefore, inside the castle remain the archaeological sites, and the area of the palace was home to study activities with a library and documentation center, cultural activities in the museum and conference room; institutional activities in the reception room , plus restaurant and cafe.
The castle walls are supported by four towers (Malvecino, Moclín, Malpica and Cabrera).

In our days, the medieval walled city, much changed in the modern era, only remains the Clock Tower, ancient gateway of pilgrims in the city.
