Photographer's Note
I have shown you the main façade and a view of one of the towers from a nearby street, now I present you a view of the interior of the Cathedral of Avila.
This is one of those occasions that I wished that I had means to record the organ music that came from the organ that lies in front of the one seen here, so I could attach that music to this post. I guess they were just training, because it was a Saturday morning and there were few visitors.
You can find some more info on the cathedral in my first post of it.
As you may have guessed the differences of light were huge, so I use an exposure blending using two images that resulted from different exposure adjustments of the original raw shot. I had no tripod with me and anyway, probably the use of such thing isn't allowed, so I did my best holding my breath while shooting.
WS's:
• #1 - Closer view of the upper left.
• #2 - Stained glass windows.

Hi Jose. Lovely result as you have achieved a uniform effect from the light, eliminated extremes in light and shade and retained the subtle colours and excellent details. It looks like a most impressive building, constructed at a time when faith could move mountains and human hands could build glorious places where to mark the important stages of their lives- christenings, marriages, funerals. Hello Jose, this one is marvellous but I especially liked the one in the WS (Altered Image-II) which I found very balanced and eye catching, despite its simplicity comparing to this one. It would have been better if you had avoided the modern lamb hanging from the ceiling. But all the photos are nice.

Ola Jose!
This is another example of good use of wide angle lens
for architectural shots. You managed to cram in so many
elements and details in your shot taken from an interesting
angle. And even though upping the ISO and chosing a bigger
aperture would help in achieving the overal sharpness,
I'm quite happy with the result shown here - the interior
of this magnificant cathedral is jaw-dropping!
Thanks a lot,
Robi

You did amazingly well with your exposure blending to present to us a perfectly exposed interior shot. The reflected coloured light near the stained glass windows catches the eye immediately and is more prevalent in WS1. Some cathedrals don't allow cameras, let alone tripods, so you were lucky.

Nice low light shot Jose, these to me are impressive when they come out as well as yours does here. They are hard to accomplish and I think most people do not try them but in the low light the colors are rich and warm and the subtleties of light can be used, like the light through the stained glass window hitting the wall high on the left, well seen. Great presentation.

Jean-Charles

Hello Jose,
Its interesting to know that Cathedrals all over the world have beautiful architectures and you have captured from unusual angle to shown this historic building. Maybe just suggest to crop out the bright side on the top and framed it perfect. Last month i visited a small chapel to attend a mass in my city and its interesting that the architetctures are similiar and I have posted on ws, you can compare and hope you like it.

Cumprimentos,
Francisco
