Wide view of the endless plains of La Mancha in central Spain, the dry sea where Don Quichote, the knight of the sad countenance, once roamed, looking for fame and eternity.

And even though he did not exist, he found it.

THIS PICTURE was shot from upon the hill at Consuegra, a location famous for its row of windmills. Here I have my back, for once, turned towards the famous mills and stare into the emptiness of the landscape.

A magical place.
