Photographer's Note
A smart entrance into a building in the old part of the beautiful town of San Cristobal de La Laguna, La Laguna for short. The town is famous for its history (e.g. it has the oldest church in all the Canary Islands) and it is also the university center of Tenerife. We arrived during siesta and because of this the town was looking even more 'from the past'. The modern part of the town seems interesting, too but we did not have enough time to see it. More pictures from La Laguna to come.

This is a nice shot of something that you don't see everyday Tomasz so I'll give you credit for that! This shot is crying out for a human figure opening a bottle, can or tin of something. OK, OK, I know that's not really possible, but hows about using a friend or something!

Hi Tomasz.
Surreal scene! Your shot really triggered my curiosity.
I did a little search on the web and came up with this info:
Apparently this piece of art was at the entrance of a surrealist art temporary exhibition in La Laguna in June'06, and now it's in front of a grocery shop in the same town, in calle Herradores?
It's a surreal combination in itself... grocery stores and art appreciation, isn't it?
This scene is worth of Chema Madoz... Thanks for posting it.
Regards,
Rob

Hi Tomasz,
very funny entrance, I like this idea.
And I agree with stigithedump - someone "opening" this "can" or something beside it would make this photo more funny. Anyway thanks for showing it!
regards,
Stanislav
