Photographer's Note

In the tiny island of La Gomera this woman in red passes in front of a building decorated with a couple of drawings depicting sights of the place.

On the right - the channel that crosses between La Gomera and Tenerife, and mighty volcano Teide (3718 meters).

On the left - the Tower of the Count of La Gomera, in which early Spanish conquerors would take refuge when attacked by the local Guanches inhabitants, in the late 1480s.

By the way, La Gomera was the last stop of Columbus on his voyage of discovery in 1492 (here he took the food and water supplies for his trip); so the sight of the Tower was probably the last one before he left for the Unknown.

(The film "The woman in red" is famous for the song "I just called to say I love you").
