Photographer's Note

A new one from Sa Colabra, Mallorca.

Sa Calobra (the Snake) is a small village situated on a pretty bay bounded by high cliffs in northern Mallorca. Located at the end of a long winding road, it has a pebbly beach, a restaurant and some bars. Most people visit Sa Calobra to see the renowned Torrent de Pareis (River of the Twins), an impressive canyon with a beautiful little beach. The trip to Sa Calobra by road is as memorable as the place itself, as the road (known as "the Knotted Tie") plunges and twists around the Puig Major mountain. As Sa Calobra itself can get very busy in summer time as it is a stopping off point for many coach trips, continue on to Cala Tuent, a small cove nearby, where you may enjoy a little more peace and tranquility.
