Photographer's Note

A quick candid shot taken with my camera at waist level as we travelled on the wonderful vintage "Orange Express" tramway between Sóller and its port, Port de Sóller. These old restored wooden-bodied trams provide a leisurely way for tourists as well as locals to travel between the towns and the journey is leisurely and relaxing as the tramcars pass through orange and lemon groves on the way. €5 each way and well worth every penny (or cent)!

Several of the tramcars are original, dating from 1912, while a few of the others were later acquired from Lisbon and restored and re-gauged to fit the 914 mm track gauge.

ISO 500, 1/320 sec. at f/9, focal length 24mm.
