Photographer's Note
I tried to upload the larger version but it didn't work...please right click the photo and open in a new tab.
Can you see the two children running and playing, one chasing the other? :) You'll have to look hard.
This was a difficult photo to capture. I wasn't prepared or planning to photograph these kids, they just kind of appeared into my shot unannounced, and because they were running, it happened very fast.
You'll see the kid on the left doesn't have any feet haha...like I said, it wasn't planned and I had to snap it off quickly.
There are TE members who do not like the tilt and distortion of the lens in these shots, well, if I correct it, the boys along the bottom will be cut off even more so. And i'd lose the tops of the domes. Obviously I have to leave it like this.
Hopefully you'll appreciate this grab shot as much as I do.

Hello Craig,
You lost the top of the central dome anyway...
...but I don't care. And I'm not bothered by this very modest tilt. I wouldn't even have thought about it unless you had pointed it out. But it's really the two boys that make the entire photo in my eyes. Without them it would have been a fairly uninspired photo of a huge façade of a big church. But I love such details as the kids running across the foreground, and my eyes were immediately dragged to them. I didn't have to look hard. I saw them right away and smiled. ;-)
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Craig, taken from a good point of view, there is excellent symmetry to your shot.
The children running by actually provide us with a reference to the scale of this beautiful building.
The sunlight brings out the lovely ochre colour of the stone, and set against the blue sky... wonderful.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Witaj Craig!
Reportage shot in despair, the boys were on the verge of framing.
In the background a beautiful building.
Great colors and light.
I like it.
Well done.
Warm regards my friend.

Hello Craig,
I think you captured this fantastic building terrifically. The warm colours are beautiful and the many domes and towers stand out so well from the blue sky. I usually think correcting the lens distortion makes a photo look less natural somehow, so it doesn't bother me at all. The two running children are a great detail too, they look so tiny in front of the impressive architecture.

Lovely shot from Zaragoza, Craig. That's a city high on my list of places in Spain I haven't visited & still love to visit. My (then future) wife and I travelled in Spain, just a couple of weeks after we met & the country hold a special place in our hearts...though we've been unfaithful and it's been too long since we were there.
Great picture, tfs & cheers!

Hi Craig,
Absolute rubbish!!! But I love it!!! Hehehehe.
The trouble is you've told us all the bad points - and most of us here are so stupid we wouldn't even notice the fact that the boy on the left has lost a foot. Nor would we notice that there's a slight tilt. Nor would we worry about the loss of the topmost bit of a dome when the main focus is in the foreground where these two boys are running.
In fact, if I really did want to be critical (and I'm trying to be serious now!), I think the most distracting thing in this picture is that central archway right bang in the middle at the bottom - it's so bright and the whites are blown out - if you could possibly dampen that down just a tad I think it would be an improvement. But that's a minor detail.
I think it's a brilliant shot and much nicer than just some boring photo of just a fancy old building façade.
Brilliant!
Cheers,
John.
P.S. Hope all is well with you, your wife and little boy. Take care and stay safe!

Hi Craig,
You have captured well the action of the children. The point of view is shwoing the details of the architecture of the building. The light is making the colours to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
I pretty much agree with Gert. The 2 running boys at the bottom are just as important as the entire cathedral and it doesn't matter so much about either the top dome cut off or the very slight tilt. Good sharpness and warm cold colour contrasts too. Tfs!

Bonjour, cher Craig,
Ce cadrage serré est parfait pour restituer toute la beauté architecturale de l'ensemble.
C'est tout simplement splendide.

Hello Craig,
The kids are the main subject of this photo but they are very small here. Nice symmetric picture of the cathedral of Zaragoza. Great view with the blue sky as a background.
Take care

Hi Craig
The distortion in this photo is miles less than a lot that we see on TE and you would have had to come up with a new title! But having said that I've done a workshop straightening it a bit and keeping the kids in the image.
Excellent detail in the large view.
cheers

Hello Craig,
Today we are neighbours on TE.
A lovely frontage with much details, only we missing the peak of tower in middle.
Wonderful picture, nice presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello Craig,
That's a big building! It's great that the kids ran into the frame so we can see just how large it is. The lighting is great, and I like the architecture. Yes, there's a bit of distortion, but that's fine with me. :-) For a quick grab, this is an attractive scene. Take good care!

Hi Craig.
Magnificent image with this detail of the side wall of the basilica with its sculptures, and a beautiful sequence with the domes of it, very difficult to remove and more unexpectedly, children playing with the top of the central dome.
A magnificent color that gives a lot of chromatic richness to the image.
Very good lighting management and very good sharpness.
Well done. I like.
I wish you a pleasant week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hi Craig,
I see you have been very active on TE in my absence.
Plenty of new wonderful photos.
The boys would be a fantastic addition of only they were a tiny bit closer. In this case they are a nice addition for connoisseur photographers like us, who enjoy things like that.
For me the imposing cathedral is so impressive, captured in great light. The orange stones look great with the dark blue sky at the back.
Excellent work,
M
