Photographer's Note

Zaragoza historic center is the second largest historic center in Spain and includes the entire area bounded by the Roman walls, built in the third century and which enclosed the entire city of Zaragoza until the thirteenth century as well as the original expansion of the city, prior to twentieth century. In the back we can see the tower of La Seo Cathedral.

A superb blue hour early nocturnal view of this alley with a wonderful warm lamplight glow and superb fg reflections. The bg tower is nicely framed by the eaves of the roof. Tfs!

A very evocative night time composition from Old Zaragoza, a city I had the pleasure of staying in in May of last year. Perfectly exposed with agreeable warm/cool tonal contrasts and some very nicely rendered textural detail.

Quelle belle atmosphère de fin de journée. Comme si tout s'arrêtais pour voir l'heure bleue prendre place. L'illumination des maisons est superbe et pousse le regard vers le clocher.

Hello Sergio,
The vertical shape suits this composition perfectly. I like the contrast between the warm golden light from the lamps and the cold grayish blue tone of the sky. The light reflected on the cobblestones of the narrow lane, just in front of the two dark persons, creates a fine and slightly mysterious atmosphere. The church tower is perfectly placed in the gap between the buildings.

Hello Sergio,
I really like how the narrow street adds such a narrow frame around the tower of the church. The façade at left is lit so beautifully by the golden lights as well. Very well captured with good clarity.

great the view of the place during the sunset with the well lighted building to and the created reflections on the wet pavement makes the image image more effective as mysterious too.The pair adds scale in the scene.

We do not get many photos from Zaragoza, so each is appreciated.
Great POV with the tower placed through the narrow street within the old town.
The alley golden illumination added beautiful texture and tones, which you managed in fine contrast to where the tower above.

una vista preciosa y algo diferente de la basilica. me gustan las luces doradas en la fachada y la angosta calle encuadrando la torre. buen detalle esos personages. una compo muy bonita y bien hecha.

this is certainly a city in Spain that i'm very much interested in visiting, its way up on my list. the architecture here is stunning. I've never seen this type of pov before from this city, quite unusual. the mood is well seen and felt in the lower portions, and having the couple walk through is excellent. lovely shot, well composed and executed for sure. cheers

Hello Sergio,

You took on a difficult shot, here, having to deal with the tough lighting conditions and the composition of the narrow street, to include the b/g tower. It has all worked very successfully! The mood in the street, with its amber lights and floor reflections is very well recorded. The tower is well included, appearing as if peeping from the light, into the moody street.

Maravillosa composicion, con esa diferencia de luces tan bien armonizada, la estrecha calle con un ambiente ya nocturno, mientras que la torre luce magnífica al final de la calle, pero todavia con un poco luz diurna.

You have well used the narrow street to frame the sharp tower behind. The tower introduces some interest while the street provides the romantic touch, especially with the late evening light.
