Photographer's Note

La Plaza de Espana is one of my favourite places in Sevilla, and an absolutely beautiful architectural marvel. The plaza is covered in amazingly detailed ceramics like this which create beautiful repetitious patterns for photography.

There is a huge fountain in the middle and little tiled alcoves all around the outside showing each of Spain's provinces. It's a great place to explore on a sunny hot day - and when you get too hot you can just jump across the the Parque Maria Luisa - a haven from the heat.
