Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues , today I propose a visit to the natural park of the Sierra north of Seville, specifically Huéznar to paradise , a river surrounded by a beautiful forest gallery with beautiful waterfalls , which I visited in early spring, hope you like it , then some letters about the place.

Huéznar Cascades is an area of the river of the same name where a series of waterfalls and pools that arise when the waters fall on peculiar limestone formations known as travertine . Throughout these waterfalls , also called The Frills , the river runs its course with plenty of clear water. This set of waterfalls was declared a Natural Monument in 2001.

The trailhead is located in the recreation area The Martinet . Ascending to the river and waterfall , we find abundant riparian vegetation , populated by a dense gallery forest of elms , ash, willow and alder , and ends back at the restaurant El Martinet , taking a circular route .

The Natural Monument is home to a rich variety of wildlife species such as dippers , kingfishers, the hawk , heron and trout .
