The Balcony of Europe is a place of ancient fortress in the ninth century. Currently is a view of the sea, with panoramic views of the coast.
The town of Nerja is located in the extreme east of the province of Malaga, and is located 30 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Almijara an area of deep ravines, cliffs and peaks that contribute to an extraordinary diverse landscape of sea and mountain.
The city's name comes from the Arabic Narixa, Naricha or Narija the historic city center was built from 1487 and is made up of narrow streets and houses of white facades adorned in blue.
