Looking through archives found this picture of a carousel. Before covid we took a holiday at the beginning of December and were often away when Christmas lights were turned on. My birthday is December 1st so the joke was the lights were for my birthday!I hope this coming year will be a much safer place for us all.

These old world carousels look great day or night. I spotted one beside the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Good light management and sharpness. Tfs!

Hi David,
The bright illuminations at nighttime almost make it feel like a Christmas lights.
I suppose it is a similar idea: using the lights to brighten up long dark days.
