Island in the sun

This was taken almost one year before today. The temperature inversion that is missing this year was more than present then. We climbed on mountain Krvavec above the low clouds and one of the views from then I wish to share here is this one.

Technique: The original colour picture with blue tones was transformed to B/W using technique of combining the red and green channel. This way I managed to lower the noise and bring more detail to the image, becaused the blue channel was with way too much noise and dark in the "islands". I decided to colour the B/W with magenta tones. I wish to thank for the inspiration to TE members Paolo and Alain.

Wow what a sea of cloud!You have caught a lovely display of natures simplistic beauty.Your note is very informative and something to remember as well as the image.Don't know if the title is suitable as the sun isn't felt.well done and TFS.

Zdravo Aleks!
Izgleda kot,da bi lahko hodil po oblakih.Fotografija ima kar nekaj šuma.Modrino pozimi lahko rešiš do neke mere,da že ko fotografiraš nastaviš kompenzacijo osvetlitve v +1 ali +1,5.Potem imaš bolj bel sneg.
Imam kar nekaj podobnih posnetkov doma z velike planine.Tudi lanske.Je pa fantastika,ko si enkrat zgoraj.Bi kar stal in gledal.Prizor za bogove.

Hi Alek, welcome back!
i read your note of yesterday and...this is really a more than a 32 km view! it's a real ocean of clouds with few islands!

hi aleks, kaj drugea povedati o tej lepo sliki kot to da je dovolj lepa za vse čestitike. Ne samo za liko ampoak tudi za voljo ki te je pripeljala gor nad oblake.

Firstly, I like the picture of the baby. Good internet debut. Second, I like this shot too with its atmosphere well captured. The soft layer of cloud really delivers the carpet feeling of wall to wall cloud cover. The image is a bit soft though. I think a smaller apperture would have solved that. Otherwise, good work.
