Pletna

First short info: this picture was taken in March.
I'll take a little break from my pictures from Bohinj Lake to go not so far from it, to the more famous Bled Lake. Here you see a popular tourist attraction, the famous man paddeled boat called Pletna, which is used for transportation to the Bled Island. At the back you can see the Bled Castle, more than 1000 years old. I played just a little with colours to create an 80s type of colouring. I had a film loaded camera which created just the same colours, so I decided to make a similar styled colour with my digital picture. I wish you all a nice weekend,

I survived for this virtual come back to Bled ;-)
Sounds like my earliest days on TE... This image is a bit different from the ones we normally see including mine that are taken in summer, here we see from their clothes and the snow there's something different, I like here the three succeeding plans, and how you got the warm colors of the pletna, a higher PoV would have allowed to detach it over the water but I guess it was just not available !

Ova ti je zaista prelepa. Odlicno postavljena kompozicija. Boje su prelepe. Prizor je fantastican.

The only thing without which the image will be perfect are those somekind of garages on the bottom of the hill..composition is great, but the castle seems to be tilted a little to the right thanks to the garages..

Looks just great. Tele makes that mountain look so big. And it's so fresh. Boat in the right place. I like the colours too, except maybe the most saturated reds.

very nice shot here and very well captured. You composed it nicely in a kind of three dimensions: the boat, the hill with the castle and the snowy mountain. The dof is perfect and the colours are natural and well saturated.

A nice late winter early spring shot. Im getting cold just looking at this, thanks:) The great cool bluish tone, the clean snow on the peaks and the people bundled in coats. A great perspective and a beautiful view.

This is one of the most exciting views from Slovenia which I saw... Very powerful this contrast betweene high mountains full of snow and this castle on the rock.

This is so nice, Aleks, I like how two colour spots here (boat and castle) balance each other, and the composition is very good with three layers of interest separated optically. Very good!

Hi Aleks. That is a monster of a mountain you've got in the background. The boat makes for a strong foreground and it's pointed in an ideal position in that we can see the people’s faces easily. Nice catch Aleks!!

ma sem jo ze prej odprl in pogledal... in ves cas sem bil preprican, da sem ti napisal "kritiko"... in zdaj ko sem sel se enkrat nazaj, da vidim, kaj je novega... vidim, da ti nisem napisal nic... no, nic hudega. Bom pa zdaj: SUPER SLIKA!

Ma sem se samo hecal! Ne, slika je res lepa, tako glede kritike namrec... hahahaha!!
Zelo dobro si ujel dva pomembna elementa Bleda (pletna, grad) in se delcek tretjega (mislim da je tam desno delcek otoka), ki pa tu ni tako pomemben za kompozicijo. Tudi barve so mi zelo vsec. Predvsem pa je to Bled kot ga nisem nikoli videl na lastne oci (zima, jaz imam celo leto letne gume na avtu ...) razen pred petimi-sestimi leti za novo leto, pa je bilo megleno ;(( in spet ni bilo nic z razgledom.

Lovely compo here - the repetition of red in the boat and the roof of the castle works well visually and the boat is perfectly placed to balance the background castle. Pleasing colouring too.

A good moment of capture and very crisp shot. The 80s colours are good too!! I think you could have captured the boat a little more off center as it is a little too much to the middle of the picture. This would have created a nice diagonal with the castle on the mountain. But, besides this, the shot is great. I like the scene overall, it is impressive.

This is an amazing composition, my friend!
I like the diagonal connection between the guys in the boat and the castle on the hilltop, good balance between the elements...
The snow covered mountains in the back topped by the blue sky really is the finishing touch!

Hello Aleks,

It would be difficult to see such a beautiful place unless you had posted your picture. The place is pretty but so is the picture with many assets: I will immediately tell you that I appreciate the fact that the boat and the castle are NOT in the same vertical. If they were I would be disappointed.
