Photographer's Note
My third and last set of two photos from the streets of Ljubljana, the nice capital city of Slovenia, taken in September 2010.
In all major cities these days, probably except for pandemic periods, street musicians are found everywhere. So this photo is not very original. But I have vague memories these two young men were playing quite well, and maybe I liked the red T-shirt and the red inside of the violin case. I probably also liked the small child who seemed to be sleeping through the concert.
I saw them in one of the streets lining the Ljubljanica river in the heart of the city.

If this photo has a certain dominance of red, the WS is very yellow.

lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepo mesto da se odsvira i dobije malo novca.
Lepo pokazano, dobro uhvacen trenutak.

Bonjour, cher Gert,

Hi Gert
Lovely street image from better times. I like the matching colours and, like in Malgo's today's image, the combination of red and green. So suitable for late spring!
The WS shot deserves its own main upload.
Best wishes

Good morning Gert,
Another two lovely photographs from what appears to me to be a very pleasant city to visit, particularly as the people in both pictures all appear quite content with life, especially the young lady on the right in your workshop image who is giving you a great big smile! I've no idea what political part those people are representing but they all seem quite content and to lack the unpleasantness which seems to afflict so many groups of political activists. And that's a jolly photo too, helped not only by the happy natures of the people but also by the bright yellow umbrellas!
I like your main photo too and I can imagine that these two violinists could have been quite a joy to hear. They look quite composed and serious, as also does the man holding the young child, but their music scores read "Tango" so I can imagine the music might have been quite quick and rousing.
The red shirt and red interior of the case definitely add splashes of colour here - but is that in fact a violin case? And what is inside it? Those long things look too small and short to be violin bows and the case isn't the usual shape either. There is a case behind one of the players next to the fence - maybe this one was for their music stands? And I wonder if anyone was tossing coins into the case for them?
Anyway, I've ranted on too long. Two delightful and colourful photographs of excellent quality which I am sure bring back memories for you of a very pleasant visit to a very pleasant place.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Gert,
Very good observed and captured. Taken with good pov and sharpness as well as timing. Nice brigth colors. Most probably those two young musicians are music students and earning some pocket monet on this way.
Of course the gesture of the child is amazing.
TFS and best regards

Hello Gert,
My first thought was - what a beautiful setting had been chosen by these two musicians and, especially for eager photographers, one was wearing red, whist the inside of case was also red, creating that nice. diagonal link!
You have captured some pleasing textural details around the focal musicians, like the trunk of the nearby tree and the uneven cobbles upon which they were standing and of course, there were some lovely dappled shadows to be seen.
This may be a lesson to parents with fractious children; the violin music seems to have sent the child to sleep!
Yellow seems an unusual colour for a political party. Usually reds and blues predominate or, if the party is eco-friendly, green.
The procession, with bright umbrellas, made an unexpected photographic opportunity for you.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)
With regard to the finials, we bought them at an auction of second hand objects and believed them to be Victorian.

Hello Gert,
Two beautiful photos from Ljubljana.
One with the color red as an eye-catcher and the other with yellow. The colours partly determine the attractiveness of both photos.
The attitude of the 2 musicians radiates a professional attitude so I am not surprised that she played well.
The yellow umbrellas, but also the way the company walks and the leaflets in the lady's hand immediately put me on the trail of election promotion.
Be careful and stay safe, Rob

I liked the two views, the yellow and the red are even special on them. street musicians are very usual to see in europe, but not so frequent here in brazil, maybe because we aren't a special tourist spot.
take care

Hi Gert,I sincerely prefer the WS photo, especially for the originality, it is not easy to find a kind of electoral propaganda done in such a curious and elegant way at the same time. The main photo is actually a beautiful composition with precious touches of red, but the subjects are not a surprise. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi Gert,
You have captured well the action of the musicians and the concentration of the man with the child. The point of view is showing the details of the musical instruments. The light has a good effect on the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Gert,
One father was seriously listening to the music, his face expression shows this. Besides music, I can see a superb backlight management that made a beautiful green leaves as a backdrop.
Taken well that moment.
The WS with the yellow umbrellas draw attention in a nice simple manner.
Good afternoon,

A very nice photo of the street musicians, such musicians belong to the local colour of large cities, and many of them play very well

Dear Gert,
I have to admit that this time the WS made more excited, than the main upload (which is a fine nothing special, by the way). The high-stepping man and the surprised face of the woman is priceless together.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Gert, once again we need a sound app to hear their music!
The presence of the man and child adds much to the shot, the expression on his face makes me wonder what he is thinking!
Good sharpness and a good balance of colours.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hej Gert,

Hello Gert,
Once yellow was the colour of the the Filipinos' fight for democracy and against the Marcos dictatorship. But I believe that Cory Aquino (in yellow) won the elections. The Ljubljana politician was less fortunate with his yellow umbrellas.
Perhaps the child on your main picture was not asleep but did not like the music.
Beautiful green background for a picture taken in a city center.
Best regards, Paul

Gert, the two street musicians are playing violin in the city center. They hope some coins in exchange of the ambiance they create. I would post the workshop separately, the eye contact with the lady is excellent. All the characters appear clearly with the stores in the bg. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hej Gert,
En mycket bra och välbalanserad komposition med det röda instrumentfodralet som ett hörn i en triangel och de båda huvudena som de andra hörnen. Också en fin balans mellan de båda röda "ögonfångarna". Snygg extrabild dessutom.
Hälsningar

Hi Gert
A good daily life scene of the musicians busking for a couple of Euro underneath the willow tree. There were a couple of impressive churches in this town and the hilltop castle was worth a look. Tfs!

Hi Gert.
"He who approaches a good tree, harbors a good shade", is an old comment, and these young musicians are what they have done, a good composition of images from day to day, the big tree is a nice background for this Photo.
Very effective coloring, which highlights the details of the image.
Good management, both of brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I like.
Enjoy the weekend, but taking care of yourself.
My best wishes for you.

Hello Gert,
I, too, like the red tshirt with the matching violin case lining. I can see that while dad (?) is enjoying the music, the little girl is snoozing. 👍🏻👍🏻
