Heaven on Earth

If you dream of a perfect vacation, then Bohinj Lake is the place. A heaven on Earth. Pure and clear waters where you can not only swim but also drink it, proximity of mount Triglav and the source of River Sava, a gondola near the lake that takes you to 1600m for a wonderful view, wonderful nature, millions of paths for hiking. If you are a fisherman, take your pole and you can go fly fishing. If you ride a bicycle, take it with you, so many off-roads to go to.
Paragliding, no problem, they'll take you to the mountain above the lake and you'll use the favourable winds. A perfect place in the center of Europe.
If you want to do nothing, you're also welcome, the lake is very calm and relaxing.
The note is not a commercial, but the photo looks like one, I deliberately increased the saturation a bit. Colours are natural apart from that.

I love the strong contrast provided by the tree trunks!
They really sets the mood here, in enhancing the beauty of the lake... Backlight on green leaves is always a treat!Well composed with a good diagonal shoreline, well done!

I could not agree with more. It's really slooks like paradise. A very soft pallete, as welt, the calm look of the landscape creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Very well chose POV and a spectacular play between the dark and light zones.

Yeah, it looks pretty much like a tropical paradise, especially with your saturated colours. As Pablo already said, backlight on the leaves, in combination with the gradient of water colours, is the trick here, and I must say the beach is very inviting! A beautiful scenery that I have to come and visit some time...

Da, izgleda kao nasa vizija raja prelepo i mirno. Da su palme okolo pomislio bi da je neko tropsko ostrvo. Voda izgleda prekrasno od zelenoplave nijanse pa do cisto plave, dobro postavljena kompozicija.

Hi Aleks,
I really like the light through the leaves and transperent turqoise water; your photo documents your note and title well. They make it easy to imagine oneself there, especially with out current heat wave here on the West Coast of the US. And worse than that, I have to go to Texas tomorrow. UGH!! I will just imagine myself visiting your lake : )

Hello Aleks,
I've only been to Slovenia once, and that was during the month of February, a long time ago. This is a totally different view of the lake! Everything looks so peaceful ant it seems that there's nobody there either! A good POV and a photo with nice soft colors and light.

I see you've been to a nice place for your holidays. You are a good saleman for the region, I suggest you get a job in the travel industry with this talent of yours. Nice shot with great saturation. The low down angle, excluding the sky, is good as this prevents a white sky from occuring. Nice sharpness and detail. Well done.

prekrasna slika v prekrasnih "relax" barvah. Kaj naj ti napisem, kar ti niso ze drugi... edino to, da gremo tudi mi enkrat v avgustu v Bohinsko Bistrico ;) si moram se malo bolj ogledat tvoje slike, da jih bom kopiral HAHAHAHA. Ne se uzalit, ce ti povem, da niso tvoje slike razlog, da grem tja... ampak je bila ena poceni varianta... Hej, sem prav dobre volje
