Photographer's Note

First image from my new travelogue, from the "long weekend" excursions in Slovakia mountains, from the sunny side of Tatras, from Liptov region.

Liptov - surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovakia: Vysoke Tatry, Zapadne Tatry and Choc hills on the north, Nizke Tatry on the south and Velka Fatra on the west. Situated in the Vah river valley, by the Liptovska Mara dam, covered with forests hiding a great number of mineral and thermal springs.

Here, a simple, illustrative image from the picturesque village Liptovske Matiasovce situated along the road from Liptovsky Mikulas to Zuberec. Taken just after a heavy rain and a few minutes before a thunderstorm.
Not favourable conditions at all, as the only illuminated area was the distant ridge of the Western Tatras with Sivy Vrch. That's why i set a higher iso here and the result is noisy.

takiego pustkowia mi trzeba:-)czesć Mat, pieknie gory pokazujesz, jak zawsze. zielen z przodu jeszcze materialna i wyrazna, jednak gory w tle juz lekko rozmyte jak we snie. swietnie to skomponowales.

Hi Mat,
Good to see you are back.Putting aside the noise that effects the quality a bit I think it is a very pleasant image.You have very distinct layers in the image with the light changing in each.The light on the mountain peaks is well captured.See you again my friend.

Nice work -
Going for the wider view is not so easy to compose well.
Here the simple lines and interesting colours make it work for you.
Lovely landscapes you show us... I will visit some day, I hope :-)

Perfect....absolute the right moment.
The light on the snowtops, a bit in the foreground...simply wonderful.

nice picture too, I like the colors and different levels in this, the lighting is once again nice, the foggy/misty area on the mountains is very nice, the only thing there is a bit noise in the sky..
Good job nevertheless.
