Photographer's Note

This photo was taken on my trip from Myto pod Dumbierom through Bystra and hills from the west of these villages back to Myto. This was the first day of my August 2008 trip to central and eastern Slovakia.

On August 26th at 802 m a.s.l. the first touches of autumn start to appear on the leaves of this immense oak (?) tree. Just look how small is the girl under it! (Actually it is an optical illusion, which I realized only after taking the shot.)
In my hometown Trnava (western Slovakia) we usually enjoy warm weather in this part of day and autumn gets slowly more present in the end of September and later.

The weather that day (and the whole next week) was just fabulous - warm and sunny. Although the sky seems to be full of clouds here, I do not actually remember the sun hiding behind them.

Shot in RAW, processed in PS.
