The blue gold of Serbia

Serbia is the biggest producer of plums in Europe. And Sumadija is the biggest plum producing region in Serbia. It's no wonder therefore that at my visit there this month I found so many trees with big and juicy plums. In the workshop you can see one of the most famous Serbian products, slivovica, made out of the best plums. The one you see in the workshop is a home made, put in a well known bottle :))

You're still posting for the thirsty ones among us I see... hehe Slivovka belongs to the ex-yugoslavian experience, I remember it was not possible to travel by train without emptying glasses to the friendship among people, nice moments indeed, but I also remember ending up in Beograd severely drunk, I'm not used to drink such liquors... I like in your photo the excellent focus and how the dark blue of the plumps detaches well over the deep blue sky.

Hi Aleks, what a pure delight here! I like slivovica, your WS makes my mouth water:) But the main post is really wonderful, what a light, what a sharpness, what a composition! And especially the colours, so bright... Very good.

It's a plum season. Well not in Finland, except on supermarkets. Wou managed to get good contrast between purple and blue. Colours really jump out of the screen!

Zdravo Aleksandar. Nice work, well comosed with the fruit hanging like decorations from the horizontal brnach. The colours of the plums are sublime. Such delicate bluish purples. I nema do shljiva koje rastu u mjesto gdje se covjek rodio. Ima ih ovdje u Australiji, ali ukus nije nikada kao od onih sljiva koje su rasle kod moje bake. Pozdrav. Klaudio

Haj Aleksander, vse kaj si napisal je res. Slika je odlicna , jasna in cista brez odvecnih senca ali detailov. Ce kaj lahko predsavi Srbijo , to je slivovca. Na workshop vidim da je bela to pomeni da je mlada. Z leti dobi zlato barvo. ( to verjetno ves)
Hvala za to lepo sliko.
glede staklenice, ali se spomniš skupine "Rokeri s Moravu". oni so imeli en komand "Ja pijem Sljivo viski everi dej..."

I like very much this shot and more, the liquid in the bottle of Ballantines ! It's more and more difficult to find this kind of product in France because farmer are no more allowed to distilate. Only very old people have an old autorisation, but it can't be any more transmit from generation to generation. These plums are looky very tasty.

I didnt know that the Serbia is biggest plums-producer, good to know cause i really like plums and cakes made form them.. :)
In Slovakia is very well known alcohol made from plums - "slivovica", if you are here you have to taste it :))
As for the picture, it is perfectly composed and with wonderful clear colours.
