Photographer's Note

My town is famous by mistakes made in it.
It's not a big town, it's not architecturaly well designed, it has a lot of negatives...People mostly come and want to make something that they like and that will be their signature, I think most of the time that they have no taste at all.To explain what I mean, imagine main road (that conects two of the largest cities in Serbia- Novi Sad and Belgrade)running throught the heart of the town and you put by the road several skyscrapers blocks for living and main market place,so you have slow old people that go to market and nervous truckers...and a lot of car accidents.Imagine there are only two small parks (and by small I mean 50m long and 60m wide) in a town of 100.000 people, imagine hospital with children and baby care like in basements (our hospital is being built more than 20 years and they managed only one floor!)and those are only some points, there's lots of them.
On the photo is dry bridge, it used to have water running under it, but people decided to change the river flow so it stands there now like unnecesary and funny decoration, people joke "If you want to kill yourself go jump of that bridge!Maybe you'll be smarter when you hit your head!"
There was once another famous bridge in the town centre, one of the beautiful iron constructions made by famous Gustav Eiffel and it's name was Erzebets hid (Erzebet's bridge)
you can see it on this link

Like always in my town a new managment decided it's not "new" and modern enough and scraped it to metal waste, there are still parts of the construction somewhere in the town metal waste area.("The Eiffel Bridge" , once a symbol of Zrenjanin, raised in 1904. together with the Small Bridge was dismantled in 1969 due to the regulation of the Begej river and new urbanistic undertakings in the old city lake.Only a pair of decorations - the finials from the bridge portal remained from the cut iron bridge...)
You may think I really don't like my town, and that's true.I don't like that logic here to destroy what someone has made just because you think you can make it better (and usually you can't, because you don't get the job if you're qualified you get it if you have relatives or conections in city political managment no mather how untalented you are...)Always stupid politics! Each year local managment changes and each year they destroy what their predecestors have done and rebuild it in their taste, that costs a lot of money and people complain, choose the new managment and they do the same...
A lot of young people has left, from this place which newspapers call "a dead town".
From the bright side -if you're politician or construction worker you can work, others are mostly unemployed.
