Photographer's Note
The building was built as a school (19th century), then was the Museum of Ecclesiastical Art and finally since 1973 is the Gallery Lazar Vozarevic (right face, towards the park), and the Children's Department of the city library (front face). Last year, the facade was renovatedrnrnLazar Vozarević (Sremska Mitrovica, 1925 - Belgrade, 1968) was a Serbian painter and art pedagogue, who entered the Serbian art scene in 1951 at the joint exhibition "Eleven" with works created under the influence of Cezanne's realism and Picasso's blue phase. In addition to oil painting, he worked on mosaics and illustrations. After his death, the Gallery "Lazar Vozarević" was founded in his native Sremska Mitrovica, where the largest number of works of art is exhibited.rnWS: A bust of Lazar Vozarević in front of the gallery, on the edge of the park.
