Photographer's Note

This good man helped me climb one steep section during my full day trekking on Rtanj mountain in Soko Banja, Serbia. He was surprised, of course, to see someone walk on the mountain in the sun. I guess, it’s just a mountain to locals. He asked me if he can “move” me a little bit. Then, while I was strangely attached to one side of the tractor, immediately above rolling rear tire, and while rusty axe on the rear end of the tractor was hitting my thumb in the rhythm of restless tractor drive, I was able to have a short but interesting conversation with him. He was going to woods to bring some woods, doh :) Somehow, I realized how there’s no boundaries between him and nature, sun, sky, clouds, mountain tops… He’s there already, one with the nature, one with the something from where we originated, so calm, so content, as if nothing matters from there to the stars… I could remember this feeling when visiting my grandparents on the countryside long time ago. Not quite sure what life has become. While writing this all I see are window shades, some sky and couple of clouds that shyly peek through the shades, and a vast concrete jungle that was able to forever remove any sight of sunrise from my eyes…
