At only a dozen kilometers away, the Danube is the widest - near 6 km (excluding the delta at the mouth), the narrowest - 140 m and the deepest - 90 m.
This is the view from the place where it is widest (near the town of Golubac) to the Golubac Fortress and the entrance to Kazan (cauldron) gorge where it is narrowest. See map
