Photographer's Note

Corn fields in September ...

View of the cornfields from the terrace of my friend's house.
Maize (lat. Zea mays) is a large annual plant native to Central and South America. This plant was first domesticated by natives in southern Mexico about 10,000 years ago.
Corn has become a staple food in many parts of the world, with a total production that exceeds wheat or rice. Part of the corn production is used as fodder, and part for processing into corn ethanol and other corn products, such as corn starch and corn syrup.
This year was good for corn, the summer was with many rainy days.
A friend enjoys the beautiful view from the terrace to the fields.
The road connects the town of Cuprija and the village of Supska.
