Photographer's Note

On the eve of the final operations of the Yugoslav Army for the final liberation of the country from the fascists, the Germans, in order to withdraw their forces from the southern Balkans, undertook the creation of a large front in the western part of Srem, which was named after that. The war operations on the Srem front lasted from October 21, 1944 to April 13, 1945.
Gatherings with 70 vertical sub-walls in which plaques with the names of all units that took part in the battles on the Srem front and three reliefs showing the layout of our and enemy defensive lines were built in;
Alley of the part, on which 15,000 names of fallen fighters of the Yugoslav, Red and Bulgarian armies are written.
