Photographer's Note
It is unknown when exactly the inhabitants of San Marino began building their fortresses on top of Mount Titano. The origins of the three fortresses are lost in legend. It is believed, however, that the First Tower of San Marino (on the photo), also known as Guaita, was the first of the three and was built around X century. It is surrounded by two tiers of circular walls and is a typical example of medieval military fortification.

Ciao Manu,
it is always a pleasure this marvelous fortresses, I believe however that the tall sun doesn't give the correct atmosphere to the place, I try to explain, I would have preferred soon a horizontal light of the sunset or the morning, for power better illuminating the precipice and to create a beautiful effect on the tower with the warm light and to get more depths. it is a good choice for the pov however.
compliments
Giorgio
