Photographer's Note

The Olt(Romanian,Hungarian,German:Alt;Latin:Aluta/Alutus)is one of the largest rivers in Romania.Its source is in the Hasmasu Mare Mt. of the Eastern Carpathians.
It flows through through the Romanian counties Harghita,Covasna,Brasov,Sibiu,Vilcea and Olt.The river was known as Alutus/Aluta in Roman antiquity.
Olt county and the historical province of Oltenia are named after the river.
The Olt flows into the Danube river near Turnu Magurele.

Average discharge:174 m3/s.
Basin area:24.050 km2
