Photographer's Note

A cobbled street in Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad Tepes the Impaler, also known as 'Dracula' which comes from the Romanian word 'Dracul', and is 'Dragon' in English. ie, Vlad the Dracul (Dragon). He lived in this town until he was 4 years old.

The hotel at left is the Pension am Schneiderturm. Saxon Germans settled here in the 12th century, encouraged by the then Hungarian rulers.
