Baziaş is a village in the municipality of Sokolovac, which belongs to the county of Caras-Severin in Romania. The settlement is significant for the present Serbian national community in Romania.
The Bazjaš or Baziaş monastery is a medieval Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the Baziaş village. It was established in 1225.
The photo was taken from the right (Serbian) bank of the Danube, a few of miles downstream from Ram. Monastery church is clearly visible.
